DHL Parcel Online Postage

Queueing up to get a stamp was yesterday. Today's service of Deutsche Post DHL provides a virtual and interactive post office counter via the internet. The generation of labels and stamps has been programmed by Micromata.

The requirement

Micromata was asked to program an application which allows the customers of Deutsche Post DHL to label their parcels at home and to safely pay the postage online. The software was required to be of high performance and 100 % secure.

A variety of parameters were to be considered: the creation of 50 PDF per second, for example, with an automatic version control; also, round-the clock availability and scalability of the software. With all of this, the application was required to be easily accessible without any special software, registration or account requests.

The solution

The application is available via dhl.de. Clearly arranged templates lead the customers via a safeguarded connection through the range of postage products. Its data security is 100 % guaranteed.

The only-print-once encryption for the PDF guarantees that every stamp and label can only be printed once.
